MEET OUR DANCERS

Afika is a dancer from Johannesburg, South Africa, deeply influenced by the traditions of KwaZulu-Natal.  He was crowned Mr Indoni Cultural South Africa, reflecting his pride in his cultural roots.  With expertise in Afrofusion, contemporary, and Zulu dance, Afika creates a unique blend of styles.  In 2023, he won Best Solo/Duet at the Dance, Turkey Istanbul International Culture Art Festival and received a standing ovation at the Yongdong South Korea International Dance Festival. Afika has performed under renowned choreographers such as Sylvia Glasser and Sunnyboy Motau, contributing to original productions including “Baobab” and “Umthombo.” He has recently toured Switzerland, Belgium and France with Robyn Orlin.  His work combines tradition with innovation, making him a respected figure in the dance world.
